Week 3

Not much to update this week. Weight is slowly coming off but on Wednesday I pretty much had a nervous breakdown at work. The stress reached it’s peak and we had to blow off steam Wednesday night the best way we knew how. Beer. “Accidentally” had more on Friday (there is international football by way of the Women’s World Cup – I will not apologize for having fun). Regardless, we did manage to exercise some self control and moderation and continue to make sure exercise is first. Within the last few months, I began exchanging exercise for alcohol. That’s obviously a recipe for disaster. I’m confident that version of me is gone forever. Stress is dangerous though. As my fitness improves, I’m sure I will develop a healthier way to de-stress, but for now….the occasional beer-venture will happen.

Not to mention, at least in my experience – water does not make high intensity World Cup watching more fun.
